Hi there, fellow Fortnite players! As a new player, Zero Build mode has been a game-changer for me. Without the pressure of building, I can focus on looting, positioning, and learning the game’s mechanics. The drop spots I’m about to share are perfect for players who want to gear up and survive longer matches without immediately jumping into intense battles. As someone who’s still learning the ropes, finding the right drop spots has been key to building my confidence and having fun. Today, I want to share my favorite landing locations in Chapter 6, Season 1. These spots are beginner-friendly, offer great loot, and help me stay out of the high-action areas until I’m ready.
My absolute favorite spot is just right of Wharf. For a new player, this location is great! There’s usually minimal competition here, which gives me time to get my bearings. The area is loaded with chests and shield potions, making it perfect for gearing up without immediate pressure. What I love most is that there’s typically a vehicle nearby – my escape plan if things get too intense! Being able to gear up before jumping into any fights boosts my confidence early in the game. Fun Tip: Start looting at the buildings closest to the water and work your way inward!
This next spot is my little secret (well, until now!). South of Demon’s Dojo is an incredible hidden area that most players seem to overlook. It’s packed with chests and shields, and the best part? It’s usually quiet! The vehicle spawn here has saved me multiple times when I’ve needed a quick getaway. Also, I’m not a fan of constantly running. Give me a car, and I’m a happy player! For new players looking to practice looting and building their loadout without constant pressure, this spot is perfect. Be sure to check the hidden spot early to grab the best loot!
When I’m feeling a bit more adventurous, I head to the mansion north of Demon’s Dojo. This spot is fantastic because it offers plenty of loot opportunities with relatively low risk. I like to land on the mansion’s roof to grab the high-ground loot first, then work my way down through the rooms. What makes it even better is its strategic location – once you’re done looting, it’s easy to rotate to Demon’s Dojo to engage in some light combat. Just remember to keep an eye on your surroundings as you move!
Colorful Meadows has become one of my favorite spots, thanks to my secret weapon – the scout specialist! Especially as a solo or new player having her help spot enemies and chests has been invaluable. I like to hire her first for some extra support and of course grab that vehicle. The abundance of chests and shields here makes it a great spot to prepare!
I’ll be honest – Magic Mosses can be pretty intense for new players like me! However, I’ve discovered a hidden area here that’s absolutely worth the risk if you can reach it. Land near the hidden area and be ready to grab the look quickly before other players arrive. Not only will you find chests and shields, but there’s also a sword and other fantastic loot. While this spot might be a bit “sweaty” for newcomers, it’s a great place to test your skills and improve.
#1. Play it safe at first. Sticking to the quieter spots can help avoid those early eliminations that do nothing but annoy and upset us.
#2. Stay mobile! Keep moving, whether you have a car or not. If you didn’t get it already from this blog, I am NOT interested in constantly running. Although some OG players will disagree with me, like my son, I love cars!
#3. Hire those specialists! Hiring the NPCs, like the one at Colorful Meadows, can give you a significant edge.
#4. Lastly, practice makes perfect. Don’t get discouraged! Once you get the hang of it, whether you are playing on a console or PC, you will LOVE it! Personally, I didn’t really expect it to be so engaging! But now, I’m hooked!
Now get looting!! I’ll see you on the Battle Bus!
